Our First Floral Masterclass Webinar

What an Unforgettable First Webinar was had on Friday 1st September, by all accounts and the feedback we recieved it was a A Blooming great success.

This was a first for us venturing into the world of webinars. It was quite a scary one, we have to be honest, we know Janette can teach and demonstrate on any situaltions and under any pressure, but for Deirdre, if she couldnt get this to work, Janette would be teaching to no-one. This floristry webinar would marked our first foray into this digital realm, a brand new one for us, but support of fellow business owners, past and present Kays Flower school Students, we pulled it off.

These are just some of the highlights of our inaugural webinar, from the initial technical hitches, to the finishing one hour later on a high having completed what we wanted to complete.

The eagerly anticipated time arrived, and as we logged onto the webinar platform, Deirdre stress levels were through the roof, the unfamiliarity of this technology had us all holding our breath. Would anyone actually show up for the Floristry Webinar. As soon as we hit the liv button, the participants arrived in their droves. Over 300 attendees, had gathered to witness our floral magic unfold live.

Within minutes we experienced our first hiccup of the floristry webinar, when no one could hear us, but in true Kays Flower School Style, all our attendees were so patient and supportive as we fixed the issue, Deirdre at this stage was barely breathing, but this swiftly gave way to shared laughter. This laughter set the tone for an evening filled with fun, support and most of all learning .

With the sound issue resolved, Janette stepped into the spotlight, offering a mesmerizing demonstration of floristry design at its best with floral seasonal wrist corsages and the hugely trending floral pocket corsages. Janette’s expertise as always shone brilliantly as she meticulously worked with flowers and accessories. What brought this floristry webinar to a whole new level was the use of the second close-up camera, allowing viewers to witness every intricate detail of Janette's creative process.

Sean's Surprise Appearance

To sprinkle an extra layer of charm onto our webinar, Deirdre's son, Sean, graciously volunteered as a model, showcasing one of our beautiful floral pocket squares. This Floristry webinar truly reflects our family-oriented business, with involves everyone, Cara Deirdre’s daughter was also on site to answer questions live in the Q & A and monitor the cameras. We suspect Sean enjoyed this role more than going to to Electric Picnic! 😄

Our aim at Kays Flower School is always to extend our training beyond just flower arranging and floristry, we always like to delved into other topics of the flower business, and the floristry webinars are no different and last night Janette discussed glue guns and scissors, exchanged helpful hints and tips while sharing hearty laughter. The informal and friendly atmosphere made everyone feel right at home, encouraging engagement and connections.

The activity and engagement from our audience was amazing with so many questions, and advice and some sharing their own floral experiences. It was a genuine community of flower enthusiasts coming together, creating an atmosphere that's not to be missed

We learned from this Floristry Webinar that technical glitches could be gracefully overcome with a touch of humor, and the true magic lay in connecting with our audience in real-time. As we continue on this journey of sharing our passion for flowers, we eagerly anticipate more webinars filled with laughter, learning, and blooming creativity.

Make sure to mark your calendars because these webinars are an experience you simply can't afford to miss! Thank you for being an integral part of this wonderful community!
